Vision

Everyday, the news seems to be getting worse. So called millionaires committing suicide. People losing their houses, their jobs, their pensions. Even some of the largest banks are going under. In tough times like these, success is not about surviving the storm but learning how to dance in the rain!

This statement inspired me in 1992 while working at the Rio Earth Summit to create the ResponseAbility Alliance. We are all responsible and at times have been irresponsible, BUT I believe we all have the responsibility to improve our abilities and to help others improve theirs, in order to respond effectively to the challenges of the twenty first century. Only when we have clarity, focus and alignment with sustainable values can we Lengthen Our Stride towards the things that matter most.

My vision and mission does not necessarily reflect the opinions of other ResponseAbility Alliance allies. I believe we are all looking through the same telescope and each allies’ compass reflects true north, BUT we all have our own tried and tested pair of binoculars and because of this the inherent diversity of vision and mission, creativity, skills and passion is what makes this alliance unique.

Our individual roles and goals are fulfilled in international conference rooms, on mountain tops, savanna’s, tropical areas, Antarctica, under the Red Sea and in my case particularly, the Sinai desert - where we conduct inspiring Lengthen Your Stride ‘Out Of Office Experiences’ in order to initiate a ResponseABILITY Revolution!
