Our programmes and projects provide unique methods to develop abilities to respond effectively to the challenges of the 21st century. They help to embed them through effective, memorable and inspirational employee engagement, while simultaneously creating shared value, commercial viability and high impact investing that increases sales and market share by attracting new customers via authentic visible impact on society, consumers and brand.
Our programmes and projects help to address the landmark UN resolution - recognising ecotourism as significant in the fight against poverty, the protection of the environment and the promotion of sustainable development - adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. (21 Dec 2012) The resolution: ‘Promotion of ecotourism for poverty eradication and environment protection’ calls on UN Member States to adopt certain policies that promote ecotourism. It also stresses its “positive impact on income generation, job creation and education, and thus on the fight against poverty and hunger.” The resolution also states that: “Ecotourism creates significant opportunities for the conservation, protection and sustainable use of biodiversity and of natural areas, by encouraging local and indigenous communities in host countries and tourists alike to preserve and respect the natural and cultural heritage.” In addition, the resolution highlights the need for national tourism plans to account for market demand and local competitive advantages, whilst also encouraging member states to promote investment in ecotourism, in accordance with their national legislation. These would include creating small and medium-sized enterprises, promoting cooperatives and facilitating access to finance through inclusive financial services, in areas of ecotourism potential and rural areas.
